A story of boy meets girl…
Back when Jon was still a struggling actor, Jon and Flo went on a single blind date. It went… sorta okay, maybe a little weird. He liked her, was intrigued by her. And she was nice enough, but she really only seemed interested in saving him money on insurance. Years later, uber-famous, successful, handsome as-ever Jon recognizes Flo on the street, and is intrigued once more. And Flo is still much more interested in other, insurance related things.

“Old Flame”
Flo and Jon have a chance encounter, years after their unsuccessful blind date. It is clear that Jon is still interested in her, but Flo canbarely remember who he is. Only when things are put in the context of insurance does she kinda sorta vaguely remember that struggling, young actor she once met. But she still hopes she might be able to help him save money with Snapshot so she agrees to see him again.

“Table for Two”
Flo and Jon struggle to get on the same page. Every effort on Jon’s part to express genuine romantic interest gets misconstrued by Flo as some sort of curiosity about insurance. It’s as if coverage and savings are literally the only language she can even speak. And to make the date even more awkward, she’s brought her co-workers along with her. A classic date that’s not really a date. But Jon’s not giving up.
“Hammergency”
Jon’s infatuation has gotten the best of him. He goes as far as to fake an insurance emergency just to get Flo’s attention. And get it he does, but not in the way he would like. She’s on the scene in seconds flat to address a burst pipe, only to immediately see the ridiculous lengths to which Jon’s gone to fabricate this scene. No insurance emergency after all. Just a hopelessly-in-love movie star. She finally has to set him straight and tell him that she will always be there for his home and auto but anything beyond that is completely out of the question. Her first and forever love is insurance. As weird as that may be.

…boy lusts after girl for eternity.
In the end, no matter how handsome, how famous or how charming Jon is, Flo’s heart belongs to her customers. They are the center of her universe and the reason she gets up each morning with that almost unhinged, manic smile on her face. It took a minute, but Jon finally accepts this and, to be a good sport and show his unconditional love for Flo, he’s reaching out to her customers to personally let them know how lucky they are and how much they had better know it.
